So I didn’t work on Step 3 of Growing Butterflies today. It has become critical that I upgrade my phone to the latest iOS. How can I get by if my SkyView Lite is not working?!? But this means I must close open windows, so anything I left open to remember to put up here has to go up. Now.
So, you get squirrels. Naturally they are on the Growing Flora and Fauna page.
Note to self: Someday I should put up a section for The Adventures of Bad Bunny and Smudge the Squirrel. Maybe I could get my daughter to illustrate…
Today I finished about a third of the “Step 3 Feed the Caterpillars” section of the Growing Butterflies page. Thinking this may be too much info going on one page, but we shall see. Hoping to finish Step 3 tomorrow, but that may be overly optimistic.
Step 2 in the Raising Butterflies section is finished, only three steps to go! Mostly text in the section on bringing in caterpillars from the wild, as opposed to only bringing in eggs. I’ve decided I don’t want to put up gross pics here, so if anyone wants a really good look at the revolting diseases and Alien-esque predators that can afflict your caterpillars, I’ve given you descriptions and the proper terminology. You’ll have to rely on Google (or DuckDuckGo!) for the gruesome visuals.
Nearly finished with Steps 1 & 2 in the Growing Butterflies Section. Tomorrow, I’ll finish Step 2 and get going on Step 3.
OK! I’ve edited and added photos to the How to Grow Milkweed Page and the Milkweed Bug and Beetle page. I could, and probably will, add more photos later. I certainly have enough! But this will do for now and tomorrow I’m moving on.
Today I added a lot of text to the How to Grow Milkweed page. Tomorrow I’ll finish it off with some troubleshooting tips and pretty pictures.
Cleaned up the side panel on the Happy Yard page to make it more user friendly, and to leave room for other topics. If you saw the before version I am 100% certain you will agree this is an improvement!
The “How to have a yard that nourishes living things” link is now live on the Growing Flora and Fauna page. Just getting started there, but the basic construction is done.
As I sat down to start entering content I’ve accumulated on yard stuff (I’m taking a recipe posting break) I realized that – wow – that’s a lotta stuff. So today I created a new menu item called Growing Flora and Fauna and consolidated the Growing Butterflies and Growing Plants menu items there. Hope to have it all up and going tomorrow!
Today I pulled my email address from the website and installed a contact form instead. To find out why, check out the About Daisy page.
